That is a fair development — a printed caddy costs a few dollars of filament — and it raises a fair question: why pay for a molded one? How a shell caddy actually fails

A caddy is a spring. Every shell pressed in flexes the retention surfaces; every reload flexes them again on the way out. A practice session repeats that cycle dozens of times, a season repeats it thousands, and between reloads the loaded caddy rides a belt through running, kneeling and knocks against barricades. When a printed caddy makes sense

Genuinely useful cases exist. Printing one is a cheap way to try the sport before buying gear, to experiment with belt positions and shell spacing, or to keep a spare in the range bag. If you enjoy printing and tuning your own equipment, that is part of the hobby and no molded product replaces it.
